WORK SELECTED FOR THE FIGURATIVAS 2021 COMPETITION

I am delighted to share with you that my painting "Tiro - UHQCM 16" has been formally admitted to the Figurativas 2021 competition.
Figurativas is the leading competition dedicated to realist/figurative art. It is organised by the Fundació de les Arts i els Artistes with the support of the European Museum of Modern Art museumeam.

My work is an oil painting on linen, 120cm x 120cm, and as the title says, it is the 16th in the series "Tiro - Um Homem Que Consegue Mudar" (A Man Who Can Change).
You can find more information about this and other paintings on my website: LINK IN BIO

This painting belongs to the series "Tiro - Um Homem Que Consegue Mudar", which I have been developing since 2019 and which I accompany with the poem that gives the series its name, written by my friend Daniel Sousa:

"A Man who can change
Alone with his art
To make of it
The solitude of those who see it
Passed on through the knowledge
Of one who can choose
His cause,
Enigmatic,
With sweet prejudices
It shapes vision and the world
It shapes the solitude of those who see
Makes them free and profound
Makes them a Man
A Man who sees everything."
